Angels pitcher Jered Weaver on life in the big leagues, securing strikes and breakfast at Egg Heaven. (Hint: Order the corned beef!)

Another hot-and-bothered summer day is mostly gone, but the tall drink o’ water that is Jered Weaver cascades coolly across an overstuffed sofa like a long, crooked brook—6 feet 7 inches

If you live up the street and you want a good breakfast, phone up this place. Great omelette's and potatoes. Located in the heights, can get busy on the weekends. ...?

Fabulous food   By Coleen B. - Nov 20, 2008

My husband was raving about this place and finally took me there. The food was excellent. Not a very classy place and the kitchen was noisy but the service was quick and friendly and you're there for the food right? The food is fabulous. ...

Legendary Breakfast  By Brenda N. - Apr 28, 2008

This place is legendary in Long Beach. People will wait for this breakfast. It's a small place so there is almost always a line, especially on a weekend morning. They are open some really odd hours, so make sure to check if there open before ...?

I have dreams about their oatmeal!

It may seem lame to go out for breakfast and order oatmeal, but the oatmeal at Egg Heaven is TO DIE FOR! It's got walnuts, raisins, bananas, and brown sugar on top. Delicious! They don't accept credit cards, so be sure to bring cash. And be prepared to wait. It can get busy on the weekends!

I first discovered Egg Heaven Cafe when I worked for MetLife on Ximeno/PCH back in the mid-1990's.....
The turkey scramble at this place is simply perfect.  And when you add their award winning salsa (OK, in the interest of full disclosure, I have no idea if their salsa has ever won any awards, but I think it's the best salsa I have ever tasted, and trust me, I have had them all) to the mix, it's the best breakfast you can get anywhere.....period.
I saw the poster from
Buena Park who hated on Egg Heaven in his review...he must be joking.  The place is solid, it's definitely not Denny's or IHOP, so maybe Buena Park
should stick to those type of hangs.
The menu is deep, and they usually post a special of the day.  I have to admit I rarely stray from my
scramble, but the chefs here can make a mean machaca, so if you ever see that on the board, get down!
That's all for now.  I live with my wife and kids in
Huntington Beach
, near the Bolsa Chica wetlands, and there are a host of options in HB for breakfast.  But I will always make the 20 minute drive to Egg Heaven instead, thinking of that salsa and the turkey scramble.....freaking epic.
How can someone not love this place?  Very strange.

4 1/2 stars really, only because they take cash only. That and the dining area is really small, so they can only accomdate for about 8 groups or so.
The attraction is the massive portions. A typical plate consists of half the plate as the omelette, the other half being the potatoes. I don't think I could ever finish an entire dish in one sitting. You are definitely getting your money's worth at Egg Heaven. Definitely come here for the breakfast dishes, not for lunches, because Egg Heaven specializes in breakfast. (*Captain Obvious was here*)

Omg!!! If anyones downing this place you must be high. I Love Love Love this place! I've yet to find a better breakfast place. it's not the most up2 date decor but the food is just amazing. Veggie chorizo!!! Love it!! And for those meat lovers (not I) my other half loves the st. Patrick omlete... Hasn't found anything that compares.
It's usually the same staff everytime we go and they're so quick!! I mean like you order and in 5min you get your food. No joke. With in mins after, you get your check. Wam bam thank you egg heaven!!  I've watched the girls wait on the other tables and everyones treated the same.. You get your food fast & your out. Love it! Foods just delish!!! Thank you Egg Heaven! You rock*

This place really knows how to serve up some juevos, namely their omellettes. Their menu extends not much further than the usual breakfast items (ie. short stacks, french toast, hashies) but the service and quality is without a doubt - priceless. Toast as thick as two slices of bread - what?
The weekends can be a bit of wait, sometimes up to 30 minutes, but definitely worth it. The hustle and bustle sure doesn't seem to slow the cooks down though. I've received breakfasts as quick as 2 minutes after ordering... just barely enough time for me to take my first sip of coffee! It has the small, casual, family style feel and the gals at the counter have always got a smile. My favorite place to hang friday mornings - no wait.
